Bokit'la
French Caribbean Street Food
Bokit’la is the first French Caribbean street food vendor in London. We are a family run business sharing a taste of Guadeloupe by preparing freshly fried dough, packed with sunny flavours, locally known as a Bokit.
The Bokit is our signature dish, made with love and bursting with island-inspired ingredients. Each Bokit (or Bokit Bowl) comes with our homemade and exclusive chilli sauce – created by none other than our mama – available in five different levels to suit everyone’s taste and preference.
Founded in 2011 by brothers Thierry and Nico Baptiste, Bokit’la aimed at introducing French Caribbean culture and cuisine to the UK.
They revisited and added their own twist to one of Guadeloupe’s most popular dishes: the bokit.
Today, Bokit’la is:
- Flavoursome ingredients freshly cut and cooked everyday.
- Homemade bread, seasoning and sauces using our own exclusive recipes.
- A celebration of the vibrant spirit of the Caribbean culture combined with London’s diversity and community.
There are three easy steps between you and your delicious Bokit:
- Pick your size: small, medium or large. We cater to everyone’s hunger and wallet.
- Select from one of three delicious fillings: Currently serving Chicken, Saltfish or Aubergine (suitable for vegans).
- Choose from one of our home made spices available in five different intensities – ranging from mild to extremely hot.
Finally you have the option to add extra toppings such as avocado, fritters, plantain, and more to create endless combos.
Voila! Your Bokit is ready!
